From first boat buyer to
the Olympic sailor, Kerli has been servicing Laser customers for 25
years. The Sailing Scene makes a
continued effort to support Club, State and National events as well as
sponsoring particular sailors towards their Olympic dreams. The Sailing Scene specialises in trading
your old Laser for new so we always have a guaranteed stock of good second
hand Lasers for all standards of sailors.
The Sailing Scene has
been committed to one design sailing and the Laser fitted perfectly into this
concept. Racing sailors are attracted
to Lasers because they provide ultimate one design racing, testing skill
without the hassle and expense of continual product development. Almost every top international sailor has
spent time honing their skills in Lasers.
Bourke, Beashel and Blackburn to name
a few. The International Laser
Association provides a healthy competition structure from Club to Olympic
level. Age, gender and weight
divisions ensure sailors of all backgrounds can taste success.
In the 1980’s the Laser
Radial was introduced to cater for lightweight sailors. People under 70kg find the smaller radial
sail easier to manage. Today radial
Lasers race in their own competitive fleets.
Standard Lasers can be converted to the radial rig by simply changing
sail and bottom mast section and vice versa.
Battens, ropes, boom and top mast are common on both rigs.
The Sailing Scene is Australia’s
largest Laser dealership with a showroom open 6 days a week. New and used boats, spares and accessories
are in stock for customers to compare.
Experienced Laser sailors are on hand to handle all your queries.
