NEW  ELLIOTT 7 GRAND PRIX

Following the proven theme of simplicity, ease of use and ultimate sailing performance, the  GRAND PRIX ELLIOTT 7 goes further towards making boats easier to manage and faster around the race track.

Every fitting on every control on board our Grand Prix range must be justified in terms of quality, strength, simplicity and price before being professionally fitted.

Innovations in sportsboat sailing have seen us make the following improvements to our 1999 model.

  • Cabintop jib cleating / uncleating is now possible from the hiked out position on the rail.  Port tack ducking is now safer, windward mark roundings and tacking faster.
  • Spinnaker halyard and topping lift are now mounted on the back of the mast, tidying the cabin top and making spinnaker sets and drops even easier from the rail on boath tacks.  Rigging time is also reduced by this feature.
  • Outhaul tail now pulls aft along the boom opening adjustment opportunities to more available crew.  Outhaul tail retracts within the boom to prevent spinnaker pole snagging and rope clutter.

Over 90% of our new yacht customers since 1997 have chosen the Grand Prix standard to take advantage of our experience.  We can get you on the water faster and performing better thanks to the Grand Prix option.  Our simplification of systems and considerable industry buying power means large savings are a welcome bonus.

Grand Prix boats are delivered to customers requiring only motor, safety gear and sails to complete.  We choose to let customers purchase this equipment to suit their local conditions and safety regulations.  THE SAILING SCENE is happy to quote on supply of all of the above to your specifications.

The NEW  GRAND PRIX deck plan works within class rules established by the Australian Elliott 7 Class Association.  People interested in knowing more should contact the SAILING SCENE.  Email
