FIJI “CHALLENGE” 08 has been run and done.  The 5 day marathon from island to island in Fiji was a cracker!  Close your eyes & think … 20 knots, 27 C degrees, 20 miles on a traveller down, flat water behind-the-reef reach.  Every day for 5 days.  Won by Aaron Worrall in front of Bob Engwirda and JP from Fiji.  Book now for the ’09 event.

The Sailing Scene NSW Hobie Cat State Titles are scheduled for November 15/16 at Port Stephens.  You must experience this idyllic venue!  Lots of interest from the “cane toads”, so entry numbers will be up.  Camping nearby, plenty of rental units, beautiful rigging beach.  Racing enquiries – John McCormick  magic4@bigpond.net.au

Just quietly … don’t despair that the Puerto Rico Hobie 16 Worlds is in doubt … I hear whispers of an even more exotic venue!  Stay tuned.

On the Tiger front, the rumour mill is grinding out news of an imminent major regatta announcement.  Hold your breath.
